The Sir Arthur Lewis Community College will be offering professional training in Animation in collaboration with Malfinis Film and Animation Studio Inc. this academic year. The College therefore invites all interested persons to attend an Animation Hackathon on Wednesday August 28th at 4:30 p.m. at the Division of Technical Education and Management Studies. The Animation Certificate is a professional certification that will be offered over a one year period by Malfinis Film and Animation Studio Inc. who is an authorized training center for ToonBoom Animation Inc. The course will therefore lead to a ToonBoom certificate in 2D Animation. Students will receive instruction in Animation Principles, Storyboarding and Drawing Basics. Students will also complete an internship within the certificate program. The Hackathon will give an introduction to the software as well as provide a short hands on interactive experience to participants.
